  1. After we read the book Brown Bear by Bill Martin, we sit in a circle and chant Kids name, kids name, who do you see? and the student replies, I see ___________ looking at me. And we continue until everyone has had a turn. Great way to introduce the students to each other! :o)

  2. I love using my environmental print unit at the beginning of the year. Students are so excited to find out how much they can "read"!

    1. I am going to do a banner I downloaded from "From the Pond". We can't hang them from the ceiling or leave them up on the wall except for Back to School night. Our Fire Marshall is real strict about having too much on the walls. Thank you for your comment. Have a wonderful school year.

  7. I love reading if you take a mouse to school and then going over all the school vocabulary items! We also talk about what all the students would like to bring to school :)
